Remove Find My iPhone from your device

For us as an Apple authorised service centre to proceed with your repair, we kindly ask you to remove your device from "Find My iPhone". This is done as follows.

How to disable via PC or Mac

  1. Log in to www.icloud.com with your Apple ID

2. Click on "Find My iPhone" or Find

3. Select "All Devices", then the device to be serviced

Remember:

The device must be offline (switched off) before it can be removed.

  1. Click on "Remove this device"

Remove a device from the Devices list

If you do not want a device to appear in Find, or if you need to prepare it for service, you can remove it from the Devices list. Note: You may need to turn off the device or place AirPods in their case.

  1. In Find Devices on iCloud.com, select the device from the All Devices list on the left. If you have already selected a device, you can click All Devices to return to the list and select a new device.
  2. Click Remove this device. Activation Lock is removed immediately, and the device is removed from Find after 30 days.

Note: If your device comes online after 30 days, it will reappear on the Devices list, and Activation Lock will be reactivated if you are still signed in to your iCloud account on the device (for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Apple Watch), or if it is paired with your iPhone or iPad (for AirPods or a Beats product).

Important:

If you press Erase iPhone, all data saved on iCloud will be deleted. Therefore, it is important that you select "Remove from Find My iPhone" and NOT Erase.

If you have your device in hand, you must do the following before you can turn off "Find my device".

You can disable Theft Protection in Settings:

  1. Go to Settings, then tap Face ID & Passcode.
  2. Enter your device passcode.
  3. Tap Theft Protection, then turn off Theft Protection.

After this, you can turn off Find my device.
